Many guests like to spend some time exploring Vancouver Island in addition to saltwater fishing at Walters Cove Resort. We offer the option of driving in on select dates, so you can travel at your own pace. You can get to Walters Cove by driving to Fair Harbour where we will pick you up by boat and bring you on a scenic 25-minute ride to the lodge. We provide free parking in a supervised lot in Fair Harbour, which is owned and operated by us as well!
Fair Harbour is about a four-hour drive northwest of Campbell River, BC. Take Hwy 19 North to the Zeballos/Fair Harbour exit (just 10 minutes north of Woss) and then continue on the Zeballos/Fair Harbour Forestry Service Road (gravel) for 76 km. It’s recommended to spend the night in Campbell River or Fair Harbour prior to meeting us for your fishing trip. If you like to camp, you could always camp at one of the 35 sites in Fair Harbour before and/or after your trip. Ask us about our new cabins in Fair Harbour, which will be available to rent starting in the spring of 2019. What are you waiting for? Book your Walters Cove fishing package today!
Driving time to Fair Harbour from:
Vancouver – 8 hours from ferry departure from either Tsawwassen or Horseshoe Bay.
Victoria – 8 hours
Campbell River – 4 hours
